The way Supergirl treated M*n El’s situation tonight was disgusting? All the characters coming to Kara and telling her “maybe you should give him a chance, maybe you should try to understand that he’s just trying to leave his past behind.” No??? His past includes owning slaves and benefiting from literal slavery? And the very fact he said he didn’t realize how bad he was until he met Kara is absolutely fucked up and gross? I would not tell someone who had owned slaves that he gets to leave his past behind ever, I would insist he take responsibility for it and benefiting from that system JUST AS KARA POINTED OUT no matter how much he cried that he was losing his girlfriend over it? How did not a single writer get how disgusting this was???
#hint show writers#if your main character has to have everyone else tell her what to do#despite her own reservations#maybe that’s a sign you’re forcing her in the wrong direction
