may i add unnecessary comments to this perhaps? but i was thinking abt this scene and, apparently, Lena is 24 years old. In 2007 she would have been 14, which means that she would have been in 8th grade as well.

i read a headcanon once about Luthors making Lena spend all of her free time at Luthor Corp when she wasn’t in school, making her learn everything about the business which is why she managed to be CEO so young.

so Lena’s smirk here in this scene, the girl was like “i was in 8th grade” meaning “i was a child just chilling with my friends, what did i know about companies”. and Lena is just like.. my sweet summer child. I was also in 8th grade and yet i had to know everything about this.
